What is YOUR purpose?

Picasso said it beautifullyđź’—

I would say we are each individually beYOUtiful! Finding out what makes us unique and what our individual gifts are is a painful journey at times. Insecurities come into play as we compare ourselves to others, and we focus to often on what we are not rather than on what we are and what we can BECOME!

I believe we are happiest as humans when we have a purpose. When we feel we contribute and that we are of value. The key is finding out what and how we can contribute.

“I AM” statements can be powerful! As many of us, I used them in a negative way at times. ”I am not...” as I longed to have the charity, academic gifts, musical talent and so on that so many of my friends had.

I have come to learn and develop the art of celebrating others and their gifts while standing grounded in who I am.

To do so we have to know who we are. To serve others we have to take TIME to develop ourselves. It takes work and action to grow and discover what gifts we have and what talents we can develop.

Sometimes our greatest talent is hiding right within us. Like Dorothy in the Wizard of OZ, we have what we need the whole time right inside of us.

I thought art was my gift to give, then writing, then teaching, yet I was blind to one of my greatest gifts to share with others, and the value in it, because of the cruel comments of others. I let the negative views of others stick instead of seeing the beauty in who my Lord created me to be.

KINDNESSđź’— simple yet pure. The core to who I have always been in my heartđź’—

Being attacked for being phony, fake, to happy, ditzy, flirting, getting by with my smile, wanting to be the center of attention, and other hurtful untruths from peers and even adults that I looked up too.

Here is the secret. You are given your gifts and talents to develop to serve others with. Trust your judgment! Trust your heartđź’— be your beYOUtiful self! Only then can you give your gift away.

Find your meaning, your gift!

Say your ”I am” statement in a positive statement and embrace your beauty and share it with all who cross your path. Celebrate being you and share your talents to the fullest.💗

Here are my ”I AM...”

I am a spiritual person

I am kind and generous

I am passionate and have a zest for life

I am a person of integrity

I am a person who appreciates the beauty in all things and loves creating beauty
